Backbends lengthen the front of the body, tone the back of the body and open the heart. They can increase energy and bring a sense of enthusiasm (FUN!). However, It is easy to lose the even tone of the fascial web and find the low ribs jutting forward and parts of the spine collapsed compromising the longevity of the spine(Less FUN!)
Slow down, and give yourself the gift of time and presence: you will open to subtler and subtler levels of perception and a new way of knowing yourself.
